This new project of mine is an attempt to get back into the world of gaming sites. Rather than work on expanding on my Jaine's Outpost (my first gaming site), I decided to focus on a new project that would initially focus more around providing great game content for as many games as humanly possible rather than on community building, which is what JO is a lot more about. The JO community has also been self-sufficient for so long that it makes little sense for me to step back in and start mucking things up.

The other reason for starting a new site rather than continue developing JO is that I have been working as a corporate web application developer for the last few years and have put together a decent content management system that I would like to continue to expand upon and develop. There was initially some discussion about putting my engine under the JO site itself, but the conversions required would have been massive, data would probably have been lost, etc. The engine was also not anywhere near ready at the time. In other words, I didn't want to screw anything up around here (those of you from the old days will remember the chaos of my development process).
